Is joining IIMs a good idea or repeating the CAT?

I've written "cat"; I realised I'd do better it's just I'm not able to replicate the same mock performance as I'm able to do at coaching centre or home as compared to the actual dday is it the right mindset to focus or there's something I'm missing here?

If you’re scoring well in mocks, that’s actually a very positive sign. It means you likely have the aptitude and preparation level needed to perform well in CAT. One thing I’ve noticed is that when a mock goes well, we often become less rigorous with the analysis. We focus only on the questions we got wrong and move on. But some of the biggest gains come from reviewing the questions you got right as well. You might have solved them using a lengthy approach, guessed correctly, or missed a more efficient method. Mock analysis should ideally take as much time as the mock itself. It’s also completely normal to perform differently on the actual exam compared to home or coaching-center mocks. Exam pressure is real. One trick that helps is to simulate CAT conditions as closely as possible. Take mocks at the same time as your expected CAT slot, avoid pauses, keep your phone away, and sit through the entire test in one go. You’re not just training for CAT concepts, you’re training your mind and body to be alert and focused during those two hours. Another thing to remember is that CAT has become extremely competitive. Even strong candidates can have an off day. So if you’re confident that your mock performance reflects your true ability, take your shot next year. But always have a fallback plan in mind rather than making CAT the only path forward. The fact that you’re already identifying the gap between mock performance and exam-day performance is a good start. That’s a much more solvable problem than not being able to score in mocks at all.

Thank you very much Amit, that surely makes sense, I'll make sure the next question is somewhere along the line of whenever I'm not able to score in mocks as well haha (pum intended)😂😆 Cheers, keep rocking 👏😁
