For DFS, DSE, and FMS, your 2-year gap is not a disqualifier by itself. These colleges care much more about your CAT score than most people realize. A few thoughts: * 10th: 80%, 12th: 83% → perfectly acceptable. * BCA with 6/6/7 CGPA trend → not ideal, but not a deal-breaker for these colleges. * 2-year gap due to family reasons → explainable. Be prepared to discuss it honestly during interviews. * No work experience → common among many applicants. For FMS Delhi, the challenge is not eligibility. The challenge is the extremely high CAT percentile required. As a General category applicant, you’d typically want to target 99.5%+ to be reasonably competitive. For DFS and DSE, the required percentile is generally lower than FMS, and your profile should not prevent you from getting calls if you score well in CAT. My suggestion: don’t reject yourself because of the profile. Focus on maximizing your CAT score. A strong CAT score can compensate for an average academic profile much more effectively at FMS, DFS, and DSE than at many IIMs that heavily weight academics. Also, during the next 1-2 years, try to improve your profile through internships, projects, certifications, or freelancing. A BCA student with practical tech/business experience often has a much stronger interview story than someone with only academics. In short: Yes, you’re eligible. The gap year won’t automatically hurt you. Your biggest bottleneck is likely to be CAT percentile, not your profile.
